Cancellation policy
Last updated 2026-08-01.
Cancelling is easy before a parcel is packed and awkward afterwards. The dividing line is dispatch.
Before the seller dispatches
Message the seller and ask. Sellers are expected to accept a cancellation request made before they have posted the order, and to refund you in full. Because your money is still held by PayPal rather than sitting with the seller, there is nothing for them to be out of pocket on.
A multi-seller order can be cancelled with one seller and left in place with the others. Each seller's portion is independent.
After dispatch
Once a parcel is in the post it cannot be cancelled — it becomes a return. See the refund policy; whether the seller accepts a change-of-mind return, and who pays return postage, depends on their storefront policy.
Do not refuse delivery as a way of returning something. Refused parcels are frequently lost in the carrier's system, and if it does not come back the seller cannot refund a card they no longer have.
When a seller cancels
Sellers may cancel before dispatch, and are expected to, when:
- The card turns out to be damaged, missing or already sold elsewhere.
- They cannot meet their stated handling time.
- The listing was wrong — wrong printing, wrong grade, wrong price.
You are refunded in full, including shipping. Every cancellation counts against the seller's metrics regardless of the reason, because from your side the outcome is identical: you wanted a card and did not get one.
A seller may not cancel because the card has since gone up in value, because they found a better price elsewhere, or to avoid a buyer they have taken a dislike to. That is a code of conduct violation, not a cancellation.
Automatic cancellation
If an order is still undispatched 14 days after payment, we cancel and refund it without anyone having to ask. The cards go back into the seller's inventory, the seller is not paid, and it is recorded as a cancellation against them.
This is not a courtesy we might withdraw. The FTC Mail Order Rule requires a seller who cannot meet their stated shipping time to notify the buyer and offer a refund, and automating it is how we make sure that actually happens.
Failed payments
An order whose payment does not complete is never a live order: nothing is reserved, nothing is owed, and the cards stay available for anyone else. If you think you were charged for an order that shows as failed, contact us with the order number — that is a real problem and we want to know.
Cancelling by the platform
We may cancel and refund an order without the seller's agreement where the seller has been suspended, where a listing turns out to be prohibited, or where we have reason to believe an order is fraudulent. The buyer is always refunded in these cases.
