Refund policy
Last updated 2026-08-01.
This is the marketplace-wide floor. Individual sellers may offer more than this — many do — but no seller's own policy can offer you less.
You are always entitled to a refund when
- The order never arrives. Tracking shows no delivery, or it was never dispatched at all.
- The card is materially not as described. Wrong card, wrong printing, wrong set, wrong finish, wrong language, or a condition meaningfully worse than the listed grade.
- It arrived damaged. Including damage caused by inadequate packing.
- It is counterfeit. Full refund, and you do not have to send it back — we ask you not to, so it leaves circulation.
- The seller cancelled after you paid.
Automatic refunds
If nothing has been dispatched 14 days after you paid, we refund you without you having to ask. The seller is not paid, and it is recorded as a cancellation against them.
This is deliberate: your money is held by PayPal rather than sitting with the seller, precisely so that a seller who does not ship never receives it. See buyer protection.
Changed your mind
Returns for any other reason are at the seller's discretion, within the policy shown on their storefront. Many sellers accept them within 30 days; where they do, you pay return postage and the item price is refunded once the card is back and confirmed to be in the condition it was sent.
Who pays return postage
| Reason | Return postage | Original shipping |
|---|---|---|
| Not as described | Seller | Refunded |
| Damaged in transit | Seller | Refunded |
| Wrong item sent | Seller | Refunded |
| Counterfeit | No return required | Refunded |
| Never arrived | — | Refunded |
| Changed your mind | Buyer | Not refunded |
How to start one
- Message the seller from your order page. Include photographs if condition or damage is the issue — a clear photo of the card and, for transit damage, the packaging it came in, settles almost every case immediately.
- Give them three days. Most sellers resolve it faster than any process could.
- If they do not respond, or you cannot agree, open a dispute and we will look at it.
You may also raise a case directly with PayPal at any point. Their Purchase Protection runs independently of this policy and on their own, longer, timetable. Nothing here limits it.
Partial refunds
Common and often the best outcome — a card is a grade lower than described but you would rather keep it at a lower price than post it back. Sellers can issue partial refunds directly, and we encourage it.
Timing
Refunds are issued through PayPal to the original payment method. PayPal typically returns funds within a few business days, though your bank or card issuer may take longer to show it. We have no control over that leg and cannot speed it up.
Condition disagreements
Grading is a judgement call and honest people disagree, particularly between adjacent grades. Our position: the seller graded it, so the seller carries the risk of that judgement. If a reasonable person looking at your photographs would say the card is worse than the listed grade, it is not as described.
The marketplace fee
When an order is refunded in full, we return our commission too. Keeping a fee on a sale that was undone is not something we are willing to defend, and it would make sellers reluctant to do the right thing.
