Marketplace rules

PalSingles is a marketplace. Independent sellers list their own cards, set their own prices, and pack and post their own parcels. We run the platform that connects them to buyers. This page explains what that means in practice, because the difference matters most at the moment something goes wrong.

Who you are buying from

When you place an order, your contract is with the seller whose storefront the cards came from — not with PalSingles. Each seller is responsible for their own listings, their own descriptions, their own grading, their own packing and their own customer service.

PalSingles is not the seller of record for anything except the house store, Burnett Deck Tech. Where the house store is the seller, it says so on the listing and in your order, and it is held to exactly the same rules as everybody else.

A cart can contain cards from several sellers at once. When it does, you pay once and receive a separate parcel from each seller, with its own tracking and its own handling time.

What we do

• Review and approve every seller before they can list, including verifying their selling history on other marketplaces.
• Run the catalogue, search, storefronts and messaging.
• Facilitate payment through PayPal, and hold seller funds until orders are delivered — see buyer protection.
• Enforce these rules: warn, suspend and remove sellers who break them.
• Investigate reports and keep a record of disputes so that patterns are visible even when individual cases are not.

What we do not do

• We do not inspect cards. We never physically handle inventory that is not the house store's. Condition is the seller's representation.
• We do not hold your money. Payment goes from you to PayPal to the seller. See buyer protection for who holds what, and when.
• We do not adjudicate payment disputes. PayPal decides those. We can remove a seller, but we cannot overrule PayPal on whose money it is.
• We do not guarantee any seller's performance. We check them at the door and we watch their metrics, which is not the same thing as a guarantee.

Rules that apply to everybody

1. Keep transactions on the platform. Do not ask a buyer or seller to complete a sale off PalSingles. It removes every protection either of you has, and it is the most common way people are defrauded on card marketplaces. Both accounts will be suspended.
2. Be accurate. Do not misrepresent what a card is, what condition it is in, or who you are.
3. One account per person or business, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
4. No manipulation. Do not buy from yourself, arrange reciprocal reviews, or use a second account to influence ratings, search placement or another seller's standing.
5. No harassment. See our community standards.
6. Follow the law. Including, without limitation, consumer protection, sales tax and intellectual property law in your jurisdiction.

Enforcement

We act on what we can see: reports, metrics, message contents where a dispute has been raised, and payment records. Depending on severity and history, we may issue a warning, remove a listing, pause a store, suspend an account, or close it permanently. Serious cases — fraud, counterfeit goods, threats — skip straight to closure.

Changes

We will update these rules as the marketplace grows. Material changes are announced by email to sellers at least 14 days before they take effect, and the date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. If a change is unacceptable to you, closing your account is always an option, and outstanding orders are honoured under the rules in force when they were placed.
