Returns and refunds
Last updated 2026-08-01.
If a card arrives and it is not what you expected, start with the seller. Every store on PalSingles agrees to the standard below before it may list, and if a seller will not honour it, we will take it up with them.
Returns are handled by the seller you bought from, because they are the merchant and they hold the payment. Your order page has a message thread with them and it is the fastest route. What follows is the minimum every seller signs up to — some offer more.
The short version
- 30 days from delivery to start a return.
- Cards must go back in the condition they were sent, in a protective sleeve and a rigid mailer.
- If a card was described wrongly or damaged in transit, the seller covers return postage and refunds in full.
- If you simply changed your mind, you cover return postage and the seller refunds the item price.
Condition disputes
Card grading is a judgement call and reasonable people disagree. We grade to the standard TCGplayer ladder (Near Mint, Lightly Played, Moderately Played, Heavily Played, Damaged) and we photograph the actual card where we can. If you think a card was graded generously, email us a photo showing the problem. We would rather refund the difference or take it back than argue about a corner.
Not eligible
- Cards altered, played with, sleeved into a deck, graded or submitted for grading after delivery.
- Returns opened after 30 days.
How to start one
- Open your order and message the seller with what is wrong. Photos help enormously for condition or damage claims.
- The seller replies with a return address and confirms who is paying the postage.
- Post the card back sleeved and in a rigid mailer. A card returned in a plain envelope usually arrives damaged, and nobody can refund a card that is destroyed on the way back.
- The seller refunds within 5 business days of the card arriving, to the PayPal account you paid from.
- If the seller goes quiet or refuses, open a dispute from the order page. That brings us in, and it counts against the seller's standing on the platform. See dispute resolution.
If your parcel never arrives
Message the seller first — they have the tracking and can often resolve it the same day. If it is genuinely lost they refund or replace it, your choice, subject to their stock. Do not wait out the 30-day window on a parcel that is clearly lost; raise it as soon as you are worried, with the seller and then with us.
Wrong item sent
The seller's cost entirely. They pay return postage and send the right card, or refund in full if you would rather not wait.
None of this limits your rights under consumer law, or your PayPal buyer protection, which runs for 180 days from payment and is between you and the seller because you paid them directly. This policy sets out how we expect things to be resolved here, not a cap on what you are entitled to.
